Three Secrets to becoming a Boss Lady

June 17, 2022

No one is perfect, but being a boss lady is not about being perfect, but more about being in charge of who you are, who you want to be, and to striking a balance between the two. Becoming a ‘boss lady’ is a not-so-new trend made popular by social and conventional media, and it is not only about being a loud, bossy lady. A boss ladi is fiercely true to herself. She is in charge of her life, and she is not afraid to say no. Getting inspirational female role models was a rare sight back in the day, but the ‘boss lady’ narrative is truly empowering for the women and young girls of today. Here is how you can aspire everyday to become the boss lady of your life:

Take care, and love yourself:

You can never fill an empty cup. And an empty cup for you doesn't do well either. You can only sacrifice your well-being and time for so long, before becoming irritable, moody and feeling hollow inside. Life is full of ups and downs, and dealing with daily life struggles can become exhausting if you don’t take out time to care for body, mind and soul.

Self-love is not always face masks and long, hot baths. They immensely help though. Self-love is often tough, saying no, not caring about what people say, and setting boundaries.

Your worth is not tied to others’ approval:

You only need one person rooting for you in your corner, and that person is you. Everyone else is, well, everyone else. You should definitely consider the opinions of the most important people in your life, but if your heart is contradicting popular opinion, then always go with your heart. After all, it is you who has to live with yourself for the rest of your life.

Fail better:

We are always so fixated with succeeding and winning in life, that we often neglect our failures and their importance in our life journey. If you fail once in your endeavors, do not give up. Instead, learn from your mistakes and try again. Do not listen to the haters around you. Keep your hopes up and your head high. Success is just around the corner.

These are the basic rules of becoming a boss lady and an inspiration for those around you. Do not forget that pulling other women down will never help you move forward.
